Vienna is generally known as the capital of music, so it's fitting that it's home to a monument paying tribute to one of the greatest composers of all time: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The monument was originally unveiled in 1896 at Albertinaplatz, just five days after the death of its sculptor, Viktor Tilgner. After the Allied bombing of Vienna in March 1945 during World War II, it was restored and relocated to the Burggarten, near the Hofburg Palace.
